Reviews:

In the marketplace of ideas, there are few vendors as talented and unfailingly generous as Bobby Chiu. It’s enough of an amazing achievement to be able to draw, paint, and operate a business at a skill level that Bobby has achieved, but to also have the gift of articulation and the willingness to share, is the stuff of character. There are a billion reasons to give up and NOT continue a pursuit of passion in a practical world; Bobby is able to cut through the negative and amplify the positive at a volume that drowns out those destructive voices. His arguments and observations are convincing, practical and inspiring. I’m thankful to know Bobby and I’m honored to have learned from him. He’s truly a great artist and an astounding teacher!

The Perfect Bait is a tremendous amalgam of philosophical and practical knowledge which can only be dispensed by a true master artist in Bobby Chiu. In it Bobby selflessly imparts the knowledge, truths and systems that have made him the sought-after talent that he is. His candid and honest views are based on real-life experience and is a source of genuine inspiration. “The Perfect Bait” is both an inspirational narrative and a practical
narrative on pursuing a career as a professional artist, and is very
much the sort of book I would have hoped was around when I was
beginning to seek work many years ago. He has included many practical
tips -- such as sketching first thing in the morning, if only for a
few minutes, to wake up the artistic part of yourself -- but the bulk
of it comes down to something I have long believed but not been
articulate enough to say. And that is that hard work and a drive to
stick to the task, either trumps talent, or makes talent better.

Bobbys book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in a career
in commercial art. Its about time.

Needed this in college!
This is such a great handbook on how to become successful in todays market. Bobbys sincerity and generosity really comes through as well as his professionalism and knowledge. To have Bobbys inspiration in my pocket is priceless. Thanks again for fantastic lessons on not only how to be an artist but a successful one! Get this app - it is very much worth the price as this info is priceless!
Good advice buried in the rough
+ clips from various artists in the field working at professional studios + audio and text formats - guest quotes are poor quality and way too short - the main narrator doesnt have the best diction. The motivation chapter in particular sounds like a cheesy motivational speaker. - resuming playback mid-chapter often lead to the chapter rewinding and forcing me to manually scroll back to where I was.
Amazing on all aspects.
This is useful not just for art, but for life in general. While Bobby Chiu might not have "the best diction", you rarely get an audio book in the voice of the writer, it feels that much more personal. This book will hopefully provide the motivation I need to get up and going.
The perfect bait (for anything)
Even if you arent an artist Bobby Chiu speaks passionately about what he does. What he is presenting here is his personal roadway to success. Working at his passion daily, and always improving in what he does. This makes you stop and ask yourself, "Am I doing that?" I think this applies to more than just art, so pop in your 10 bucks and get the best thing Istore has to offer.
Great
The content is spectacular. I really feel like hes speaking to me. Havent listened to the audio version yet, but the writing is spot on, truly wish Id had this book before I started art college.
